Rise in US teen pregnancies
In a desperate attempt to extend the failed abstinence-only-until-marriage programs Senator Jim Bunning (R-KY) is expected to offer an amendment in the Senate Budget committee tomorrow that would provide an opportunity to fund these failed programs.
We NEED your CALLS URGENTLY to the below friendly Democratic offices. Urge them to vote NO on Bunning’s amendment to try and fund failed abstinence-only-until-marriage programs.
IT is important to do this AS EARLY IN THE MORNING AS POSSIBLE as the committee resumes at 10am EST.
These programs are set to expire at the end of June and they should – they do not work and they have siphoned money away from evidence-based interventions. BUT these offices need to hear from us.
